Dr. Jeffrey R. Wong's dental office

 

Dr. Jeffrey R. Wong's in Oakland's dental practice is committed to high-quality care while protecting our staff, patients, and communities. We adhere to infection control standards made by the ADA, CDC, CDA and OSHA. This includes wearing personal protective gear, using hospital-grade disinfectants, practicing the latest sterilization protocols and utilizing single-use disposable materials. Changes you will experience during your next visit include:

 

  • COVID-19 Screening Consent forms and health history are to be completed and signed.

 

  • Hand sanitizer is made available throughout the office.

  • As of April 3, 2023 patients are not required to wear face masks (it is optional) while inside the dental office.

  • We have installed plexiglass health guard partitions in front of the reception area for mobile payments, thereby limiting exposure and contact with patients

  • We disinfect all operatories and front reception areas every hour and after every patient we see as always

  • We have removed all reading materials and brochures to avoid possible cross contamination

 

  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This means you may be asked to wait outside or be taken directly into the operatory room.

 

  • To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, access to our dental office is restricted to patients only.

 

 

Our dental practice has taken the following additional measures:

 

  • Display signage providing patients with general recommendations to avoid the spread of COVID-19

 

  • Utilizing an air purifying device containing a HEPA filter

  • Ensuring that anyone experiencing flu-like illnesses is not allowed in our office

 

  • Ensuring that anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 has fully recovered before working or

       being seen as a patient

 

  • Made no-touch trash receptacles available for patient use

 

  • Discourage patients from bringing companions to appointments (except when absolutely necessary)

 

  • The chairs and tables in the reception have been removed to accommodate social distancing and all surfaces including desktops, door handles etc. are disinfected every hour.

  • Utilizing PPE, including face shields, eye protection goggles, scrubs, disposable masks and gloves

 

  • All staff washing hands and putting on gloves between patients

 

  • Properly disinfecting (with EPA-registered disinfectants) all dental operatories-including wiping down countertops, chairs, door handles

 

  • Sterilizing all instruments pursuant to OSHA standards

 

  • Placing barrier plastic wrap on x-ray, switches, computer mouse and replacing between each patient

 

  • Utilizing dry shield device to minimize aerosol and spatter during aerosol producing procedures
